It was produced in the United States during World War II (1939-1945) by the Tichnor Brothers, who were one of the largest manufacturers of postcards in the 1940s. This linen postcard is unposted and is approximately 5 3/8 x 3 5/16 inches in size. The "linen" postcards were not actually made from fabric but rather embossed stock, roughened in a process meant to maximize the brightness of the colored ink.
