Description: This is an extremely fine First World War Prussian 1914 Iron Cross 2nd Class that is in near mint condition. The stove black finish to the iron core is immaculate and undamaged. The silver frame is with an attractive age toned patina and a sharply detailed serrated bead running around the outer edge. There is no separation to the frame. The ring is marked, ‘KO’ for the maker Königliches Münzamt Orden, Berlin. The cross is suspended from a piece of ribbon that does not glow under UV light. It remains a killer example of the iconic First World War Prussian decoration for combat valor. 9065
