U.S. Foley Mfg Co. 1943. Normal wear and rubbings. The name “Peter’s” written on side with marker. Appears to have been used over an open fire or gas stove. Canteen with metal lid attached to canteen by small chain. U.S. AGM Co. 1942. Normal scratches and rubbings on 80 year old canteen. Cover Water Canteen M1910 (“PATTERN 1944”). Featuring the prominent reinforced belt hook billet, but missing the wire hangar). The marking on the bottom was applied by a soldier using an Army-supplied stencil and ink, representing the first initial last name, followed by the last four digits of the Army Serial Number.
