The bowl is then ground to its desired thickness and sanded in preparation for the painting. The bowl is painted with natural pigments and sealed and polished with a light shoe polish. The bowl is hand-painted with assorted bold designs. The bowl is intended for decorative use only, not for food service. Do to age and climate changes, wood bowl has hairline cracks that are most noticeable from the back. Still very beautiful and study.
