Description: Wedgwood Volcano Erupting Brown Transferware Tea Cup & Saucer Circa 1880s Nice antique late 19th century British earthenware tea cup and saucer. The cup is decorated with boats and buildings. The saucer is decorated in the Volcano Erupting pattern in brown transfer. Both have the same border. Impressed Wedgwood on the bottom of the saucer. Also has an impressed date code, but the last letter is not legible. Has crazing typical of earthenware and wear consistent with age and use, but otherwise good condition. The cup measures approximately 4 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/8 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 5 1/2 inches wide.
