Description: This Waltham vintage watch is quite a rare find! It comes complete in the original box set with original hang tags and warranty card. Made in Chicago in the 1960s before Waltham fell to the Quartz crisis, this elegant watch has a 35mm stainless steel case with a polished finish and a fixed silver bezel. It features a silver dial with linen pattern and baton indexes and a high quality alligator leather strap. This watch uses the excellent Waltham R.560 automatic movement (which is a rebranded A. Schild cal. 1673). With this watch you get the best of American design with Swiss reliability. This piece came to us in good condition.It had been serviced and is performing well. The crystal was replaced with a quality Sternkreuz crystal. The dial is in original condition and the movement is in superb condition. The case was lightly polished and it is keeping excellent time and looks superb on the wrist. I’m a watch maker with over 30 years experience in precision industry. I take satisfaction in restoring decrepit time pieces and putting them back into the world. I pride myself on honest representations of my work and where possible, I keep pieces true to their heritage.
