Description: This is a vintage Pottery Craft brown trumpet vase made in California, USA during the 1970's. This art pottery piece is made of clay and features an incised design of lilies, foliage and vines in white & tan, giving it a 3D effect. It is hand-painted and finished with a matte and gloss effect. The top of the neck and widest part at the bottom are a high gloss dark brown. The center part that contains the etched design is finished in a lighter matte brown. The vase is a limited edition, handmade, and measures 10 1/4" tall and 5 3/4" at the widest part. The mouth measures 3 3/8" in diameter and the round base is 3 1/8" in diameter. It weighs 2 pounds and 0.2 ounces. Beautiful decorative and functional mid-centure piece. There is a lighter tan mark near the top side of the design. I believe this was made during the manufacture while incising the design as it matches the color inside some of the etched vines and is smooth (please see last photo). The vase is in excellent condition with very minor use wear.
