Description: Make a statement in this vintage mid-1950s designer signed Matisse Renoir copper & black enamel maple leaf brooch & clip earrings set. This amazing set was crafted by Matisse Renoir artisans who finished, brushed, and polished each piece by hand. The spiral copper accents have a “Copron” coating, which minimizes tarnish from fingerprint oils, and a corrosion-inhibit shiny lacquer finish has been applied to the leaves. The copper & red enamel version of this brooch is featured on page 151 of Judith Miller's book, "Costume Jewellery." The brooch is 2 1/4” x 2 1/4”. The matching earrings are 1 1/8” x 1 1/8”. The set is in “like new” pre-owned condition. Please see the photographs, which are part of the description. The dark areas on the highly polished surfaces are just reflections of the camera and the surroundings. All pre-owned jewelry is cleaned.
