They were made with lace, honeycomb paper, scraps of die cut images such as flowers, animals, children, angels, women and hearts. Often they are layered and have paper springs between the layers to give them a popped out 3-D look. This valentine card is c. 1900-1930. Known as a Vintage Pull Down Valentine's Card. Valentine greeting on the outside then pull down the greeting to see a dimensional image. Usually decorated with crape paper, die cut scraps of flowers, angels, children, birds and other images that represent life and love. Measures 4 x 6 inches. Hand missing on person on right. Glue marks on back.
