Description: This is an excellent and super premium 8 inch compact sweep Stanley No 813-G bit brace hand drill with beautiful Hardwood handles, fully boxed ratchet, a steel clad ball bearing head, It also has universal spring loaded jaws that use and work with round shank bits, hex shank bits as well as the standard square tapered auger bits. It also has a ball bearing chuck that makes it easy to release or tighten down hard on the bit without straining your hand. Lubed and tested, looks and works nearly like it did when new and still retains more than 90 percent of itself original nickel plating. Even the jaws retain nearly all their plating. This Brace was manufactured circa 1950’s nearly 70 years old. This brace is shop Ready and will last a couple more lifetimes with proper care. Fine collectible user. My goal is to place as many of these high quality made in the USA vintage hand tools back into the hands of today’s craftsmen. I would never “part out” a good tool just for the proceeds. If the tool I have acquired is serviceable I will put it into as good of condition it can be and sell to friends or on eBay.
