Description: A wonderful rare pair of original early 1920s Egyptian Revival cobra snake candle sconces. These are brass in the shape of cobra snakes climbing up your wall but have a wonderful antique patina. At approx 21 ins long to top of snake and 28 ins tall to top of bulb and 3 ins wide at widest point. they are of magnificent proportions. The brass base is beautifully aged and the surface lightly etched and detailed with black enamel infill. They could be used as candle sconces, but presently they are fitted but they are currently wired to be used as wall lights and two discrete holes have been made to each candle holder for wiring. They will need to be fitted by a professional electrician. These wonderful lights are very hard to find now and are a must for any interior - being offered at no reserve with a very low starting price.
