Made in the early 90's by M&M Enterprises--Artisan: Larry Marques in Midland, Texas. This piece is of polished oil well CORE. Brought up from thousands of feet below the earth, the oil core samples are millions of years old. The painstaking detail of polishing the rock samples are evident and clearly a work of art. The actual core is 13" by 4", the total lamp height is: 32" appx. There is a switch at back of base for the INSIDE part of the core-night light which 'lights' up the interior of the core making a beautiful ambiance in any room. Soft and subtle, or turn the switch on at top of lamp for brighter everyday use. Handmade. NO shade! Shade in photo's for show purposes only.
