Details: This will likely only be used as a decorative piece by the buyer. I believe the former owner glued the metal screw-on collar to the base of the unit. Therefore, I do not believe that it can be used as a functional oil lamp. Other than what is noted above, the base of the oil lamp has no chips, cracks, or breakage. The metal collar piece has a lot of dark discoloration and is more roughly textured. The brand of the metal collar states it is Eagle brand. The stem states that it was made in the USA. P & A Dorset Div. Thomaston, Conn. The chimney does not have any significant chips or cracks. However, where the chimney meets the metal collar, there are some small flea bites. I have reflected a lower price for this item when compared to my competition, due to the unique qualities of this piece. However, shipping might be slightly higher because I plan on separating the base and chimney into 2 boxes, which will be shipped together in a bigger box. I feel that this would be the best way to reduce any breakage, especially with the delicate chimney. The approximate dimensions of this piece are as follows: The entire assembled lamp is 12" tall. The chimney is 3 1/2" across the top rim, 5" at the widest point, and 7" tall.The base is 7" tall, 6 1/2" across at the widest point, and 3 1/4" at the base.
