Vintage Irwin Wood Tee Handle 2" X 16" Auger

Description: Beautiful 2" irwin handle turn auger. Tried unscrewing cap nut on top to take apart to clean but top threaded part twisted off. Only way I can think to repair is have new threads welded on top of bit. Or use as is. Unique way it's made is the side plates also hold bit in place as you can see in pictures.
