Description: This sale is for a vintage hardcover book with original dust jacket titled Glinda of Oz written by L. Frank Baum and illustrated by Jno R. Neill. The illustrations are in black and white and are not colored plates. It was published by The Reily & Lee Co. in Chicago and it is dated 1920. It was made in the U. S. A., and it is approximately 7" wide x 9 1/4" high x 1 1/2" deep. It is part of The Oz Books Thirty Titles and is book number 13. The book is in very good condition except three pages at the end of the book has insect damage that I just discovered while rifling through its pages and looks like it happened many years ago. This damage is shown in the photographs. There is no indication that it is still active and there is nothing visible to the naked eye. This book has been stored in an open bookshelf for years in a humidity-controlled environment and it has never been wet. The top and the bottom of the binding is bent, it is very dusty, but there is no musty smell. There is pencil writing at the last page at the upper left corner, but there is no other writing or marks at the interior of the book. The dust jacket is included but is torn in half, chipped, bent and folded as shown in the photographs. It has been stored in a plastic sleeve. The book and dust jacket come from a pet and smoke-free home. Please see my other sales as I will combine shipping when possible. Thank you for looking.
