Description: Wonderful detail on this vintage hand embroidered and crocheted one sided runner / scarf. These pieces were mostly used on sideboards, buffets or dressers. Such lovely detail in the spaces filled with stitches. Love the scallop crocheted trim. I do not find too much wrong with this piece, there are a couple of very small very light spots that I could not photograph well, hard to see and a break in the connecting thread on a piece of the crochet trim which can be seen in the fifth photo I think. The other unusual thing is that on one side of the embroidered corners, the fill stitches are black, same in the middle and on the other corner half of the fill is white.. I can only surmise that the maker ran out of black floss?? Priced accordingly. A lot of intricate detail. Measures about 41" long and is 16" at the deepest across the middle. Vintage means the item has had a previous life.. My thoughts on condition may be slightly different than yours..please check all photos carefully, ask questions and ask for more photos if you need them..as they are part of the description..
