Description: Excellent condition Favorite Piqua Ware No. 8 cast iron skillet with smiley logo and outer heat ring made by Favorite Stove and Range in Piqua, Ohio from 1916-1934. CONDITION: Skillet is in very good antique condition. It has a small wobble at the 2 and 7 o'clock positions corrected by 2 index cards. Cooking surface is smooth, in good condition with minimal signs of wear and has one isolated spot of very light micro pitting (see pictures). Lines on logo and numbering are crisp and clear. Skillet does not spin, has no cracks, chips, rust, or repairs. Please see photos as part of description. ~Disclaimer: All vintage and antique cast iron typically shows some signs of wear including light utensil marks, discoloration, and minor pitting. RESTORATION: This vintage piece of cast iron has been carefully cleaned to bare iron and fully restored using a combination of electrolysis, lye, and vinegar. It has been seasoned with 3 layers of grape seed oil at 450 degrees for a deep, beautiful, patina finish.
