Description: This vintage Coro Craft Sterling clip is called “Friendship”. It features a hand design accented with red enamel painted finger nails, blue glass stones and clear rhinestones. This clip design is a book piece. It was patented by Adolph Katz in 1944 and then featured in a Coro advertisement in Mademoiselle in October of 1945. A photo of this item can be found on page 147 of Volume 1: American Costume Jewelry Art & Industry, 1935-1950. A photo of the page is included. All stones are present. The main blue stone has some nicks in the surface and a couple of the rhinestones show slight yellowing. There are a few wear spots on the enamel nails and some light scratches and wear on the metal. Use photos as main part of the description. The clip is tight. The piece is signed Coro Craft Sterling with the pegasus symbol on the back. The clip measures approximately 2 1/2 x 7/8 inches. It weighs approximately 17 g. Item shows wear consistent with age and use but still displays beautifully. A lovely collectible Coro clip!
