Description: Vintage Canon S-50 Typestar 5 Electronic Typewriter - FOR PARTS / REPAIR Black electronic typewriter / word processor hybrid. In the original hard plastic Canon storage and travel case. Cosmetically the typewriter is in excellent & sleek vintage condition. All keys and switches accounted for, as well as the original instruction manual and warranty card, and an ink cartridge is installed (unsure how much is used). However - the typewriter does not power on with D batteries, and I do not have the AC adapter, so it is sold as is, not working, for parts or repair. It doesn't make any sound with batteries installed, or seem to respond to any buttons be pushed. I have not disassembled or tried to repair this. No signs of corrosion or physical damage to the unit.Typewriter measures 13.5" x 10.5" x 2.5", the case is 15" x 15" x 4". I hope it can be repaired and enjoyed by someone else - it's a brilliant size / form factor and still in use today - maybe even more so, for distraction-free writing, like the Freewrite is popularizing again.
