Vintage Antique 1910’s Pan Style Chandelier With Star Glass Shades

Description: I’m very excited to offer this incredible, restored c.1910’s era pan style chandelier featuring star patterned pressed glass shades! This fixture, from about 1910, is in fantastic vintage condition with a rich mottled patina that brass can only acquire through decades of oxidation. I have not polished the metal as to preserve the interesting color, but it did get a thorough cleaning. There are some minor surface irregularities, but this can be expected from any fixtures from this era. A fixture like this is special, as it is representative of the kind of light that a modest working class family would have hung in their house, because even in an era of excess, not everyone lived in opulent, lavish mansions. Lights like these are often tossed in renovations and are not easy to come by in good condition anymore. The sockets are original and function well, and the wiring is new - cloth covered like the original would have been. The pressed glass shades, which feature delicate starbursts, are absolutely lovely. They light very well and suit the fixture quite nicely. They are free of notable chips and flaws. The scale of this light makes it ideal for a smaller sized room, at about 12.5 inches in across, measured from shade-to-shade and 21.5 inches long. I can adjust the length down a bit, but I cannot make it longer. I picture it in a powder room, a bedroom, over a stairhall landing/common space, or even in a larger closet. Pan lights were wildly popular in the early 20th century, and are very versatile light fixtures that work in just about any space.
