Description: Vintage made in Italy 4/4 violin . Label inside reads:: Sebastiano Saccinni Da Pesaro 1’ Anno 16 Note:: Pesaro is a town in the coast of Italy Good condition structurally . Has a hair line in the wood on top near the fretboard (look at photo) Comes in a new violin case as violin is too old and was found without case . If you look closely at photos you can see like some pro repairs were done on top and back on the wood . Very good work. PLEASE REMEMBER THIS IS A VINTAGE VIOLIN No separations in the wood that I can see but no expert here . _______________________________________________________________________________ Accordingly with my search , Sacchini was a pupil of ANTONIO MARIANI in the 16 hundreds. . MarianI , probably work in PESARO , in the coast of Italy , between 1635 , and 1695 . Antonio Mariani violins are between the most valuable , selling in the thousands ,(do your own search) . There is one or more in the American Museum of Arts and three or more of his violins in the : MUSEO DELLA MUSICA in Venice . There is a video in YouTube. The violin for sale in this page was made by Sebastiano Sacchini , pupil of Mariani and the similarity of the Antonio Mariani violins and this one , are amazing. Sacchini painting or lacquering his violin dark color in the middle of the violin are almost identical of the ones of Antonio Mariani in the museum . I can not tell similarities in sound of either because one is here for sale and Mariani’s ,, inside the museums, so I have to leave it there for your search and consideration. NOTE: this violin is in good condition structurally , no separations at the ribs or other places that I can see . It does have a line crack at the top right side shown in one of the photos . I can see professional repairs of the top and back panels, can be seen from photos also , is an antique and has been played . Included is a new violin case as it was found without a case .
