Vintage 1950s Midwestern Sport Togs Deerskin Leather Cropped Jacket Wool Size 40

Description: An excellent vintage 1950's deerskin leather jacket from Midwestern Sport Togs of Berlin, Wisconsin, in a men's size 40. Undyed deerskin, in the shape of a classic racer-style collared jacket, with two open hand warmer pockets, and a plaid knit wool liner. The jacket has the shape of a half-belt jacket, and features two cinched sections on the back of the waist, to give that classic look. A 1950's Talon brand zip, with a great embroidered neck tag, and a flat yoke across the front and back of the jacket. Although this jacket is in great condition for the age, it could certainly use some serious TLC, to enliven the leather and preserve the jacket for years to come. The jacket is tagged as a size 40 - it should generally fit true to size. It would also fit very comfortably as a size 38, given the wool liner. Check the below measurements before purchasing. Measurements:Chest (pit-to-pit): 21.5 in Shoulders: 18 in Hem: 21 in Length: 26 in Sleeve Length: 25 in Good vintage condition. Right shoulder has some fairly major cracking from dehydration combined with sitting on a hanger for too many years. Some scuff marks and minor stains throughout. left sleeve near the cuff has a imperfection in the hide, which presents as a harder, tougher spot without the flexibility of the rest of the jacket. Some pilling to the inside of the wool liner, in between the layers of the jacket. Zipper teeth have some very slight oxidation. See photos for more details. Sold as-is.
