The hat is hand made by the late great milliner Ruth Stockley in the 1980s, she was the foremost authority on the design and construction of 20th century millinery. It is made of dark navy blue color silk fabrics with ribbon, bows, flowers and white lace trim edging the brim. This beautiful blue bonnet Victorian style hat has a unique stiffened stand up front brim, upturned folded back brim trimmed with ribbon bow flowers, is fully lined in a Gainsborough picture hat ladies portrait novelty print fabric and has "An Original by Ruth Stockley" label sewn inside. It has been beautifully custom made with quality craftsmanship and detail. The hat measures 21 1/2 inches inside crown circumference, 11 inches tall and 14 inches wide across. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful women's Victorian era inspired reproduction custom made hat!
