Description: Seller: Alley-Antiques DESCRIPTION: Antique Lithograph. Sold AS IS. VERY RARE. This is a 1917 WWI Poster titled "The Love of Freedom". The artist was Ezio Anichini Firenza. The has a copyright date of 1917 and was produced by MA Stern Chicago. It features Uncle Sam holding a gun with American Flag attached. Has a man and woman in the flag. Soldiers and campground in background. I do come across WWII The Love of freedom from the 1940s a bit, but have only come across a couple of the WWI 1917 in all my years of specialization. This poster is guaranteed original and in what I believe is the original oak frame. The poster is over 10/ years old and is being sold AS IS. It is faded. There are several holes, losses, rips, tears, color scratch loses, and scratches on the print. Even so, try to find another. Glass looks like a replacement. It still displays nicely as it is. Guaranteed an original 1917 print. Antique and over 100 years old. Has cardboard backing. Frame probably original and as is with scuffs, scratches etc...It is a very rare piece in any condition. Displays pretty nicely as is. Measures about 21 1/2" tall and 17 1/2" wide (frame included in measurements). Print itself measures about 20" by 16". Pics part of description.
