Description: SPRINGFIELD M1903 and/or M1903A3 Front Sight Cover This is an original vintage Springfield 1903 and/or 1903A3 .30-06 rifle part. The auction is for one cover. They are from a full box of 25. They were never opened. They had some really heavy grease that dried on, which was really tough to remove. There is one left with the grease. The box reads "25 COVERS FRONT SIGHT CAL. .30 M1903 A3 SPRINGFIELD DRAWING NO. C-64157 ITEM STOCK NO. B-3-02-00080 AND S. N. L. NO. B3 MFD BY GOTHAM PRESSED STEEL CORP N.Y.C." The covers have the markings C-64157-4 on one side and a triangle with a G on the other. This will fit any of the M1903 family of rifles including Rock Island, Smith Corona and Remington. PLEASE look at the pictures to determine if the part is compatible with your needs. The auction is for one item, but you can buy as many as you want. You will get one of the parts in the pictures. Due to volume and availability, I can’t offer or guarantee you a specific part. These parts are from the estate of a US military armorer during the 1960s and early 70s.
