Description: U.S. MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL & RIBBON WITH RIBBON BAR & LAPEL PIN IN CASE This listing is for a MERITORIOUS SERVICE MEDAL set that comes in a green hard cover, presentation case with silver tone cover accents and lettering: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (surface is rough on the case, and interior is dusty around the inner edges—see photos, case is intact). Inside is a white satin top lining, and bottom is tan velvet like card (removable tab at top) holder. The bronze medal comes with its ribbon (crimson red background with two broad white stripes), and back has a working pin clasp. The medal features a raised image of six rays in the upper points of a 5-point star with beveled edges and contains 2 smaller stars defined by incised outlines. The lower part of the front features an eagle with wings upraised standing upon branches of laurel tied with a ribbon. The back has circular raised lettering: UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, MERITORIOUS SERVICE with center blank for name of recipient (there is no name.) Also included is a matching ribbon bar and a small enamel lapel pin (ribbons are dusty, and lapel pin has storage edge wear—see photos). The case measures approx. 7" BY 4-1/4" BY 1-1/8" thick and when item is packed SECURELY for shipping it weighs 1 pound 2 ounces.
