Armstrong, 88, of Corpus Christi, Texas passed away Sunday morning March 24, 2019 at his home surrounded by family. Jim was born May 11, 1930 in Monroe, Louisiana to Conway and Mayme (Tucker) Armstrong. He married the love of his life, Joyce (Hicks) Armstrong on December 2, 1950 and they enjoyed 68 wonderful years together. Jim enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951 and served during the Korean War in Okinawa. He and Joyce wrote love letters to one another every day they were apart. Jim was a commercial electrician for 61 years. He was a faithful man of God, family, and country. Jim was born with the gift of a beautiful voice that he used to bless people in the work of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Jim enjoyed reading the Bible, gardening, tinkering around the house and spending time with his beautiful wife and family. He was one of kind, deeply loved, and will be greatly missed. Jim is survived by his wife Joyce Armstrong, daughter Deanna Uhler (fianc Rob Partain), daughter Tracey Armstrong, grandson Jordan Armstrong, granddaughter Kristen Bercier (Trevor), son-in-law Brian Uhler, sister Connie Roberts (Lonnie) and multiple nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Anita Clark, and his beloved grandson Alex Thomas Uhler.
