Detailed Description:The comic books for sale are original, unaltered, unrestored, unpressed issues that has been bagged, boarded, boxed, and stored safely in my climate-controlled home for 40 years. This particular run was my core group of comic books, bought with 1980's paper route money just like a good boy character straight out of a comic book. Issue #173 suffers from a black cover, which never displays well. Still, it is one of my favorites from that era. The cover is smooth, with sharp corners and straight page edges. There is a hint of 1-2 stress lines in the spine. At worst that bumps it down to a VERY FINE PLUS (8.5). Issue #174 would be another VF/NM copy, except some dope appears to have filled in a bubble sheet with a pencil on top of it. There are two dimples in the cover (see close-up photo). Otherwise it is a nice copy. Maybe that grades as a FINE (6.0) condition. Issue #175 is a typical VF/NM comic book, with glossy cover, sharp edges, no chips, stains, or creases. The binding is free of major stress marks. Even the back cover is perfect. The interior pages match the cover, and are blemish free. Numerous high quality close-up photos have been provided, so please look carefully and make your own determination of the condition and value before making a purchase decision.
