Description: Rare one of a kind silver antique Torah crown. Probably Libyan or Algerian, dated 1888. Very heavy, impressive with casted, punched etched. With extensive dedication in Hebrew on multiple panels. Features Stars of David, floral designs, riveted parts and an upper sawtooth grating, keyhole like openings. No silver marks but silver tested by prior owner. Has a copper it brass lower bracing part. Torah crowns of this design are extraordinarily rare and we can find no records if this particular style of work. Best described as a folk piece. Suitable for a museum or high level Judaica collection.
