Description: "To the Rescue" is a vintage 1930s Hy Hintermeister print. Hy Hintermeister was a pseudonym for John Henry Hintermeister (1869-1945) and his son Henry "Hy" Hintermeister (1897-1970). The library of congress lists over 600 prints by the father/son team. Their work is considered "Norman Rockwell-esque" and are good examples of Americana. "To the Rescue" is 9" x 12" and is in excellent condition. Chuck Olson CollectionChuck Olson spent over 40 years collecting and traveling the United States in search of unique vintage prints. He was especially interested in prints that were printed for use on calendars in the "Age of the Calendar" from 1900-1960. Chuck amassed a collection of well over 10,000 framed and unframed prints before his death. Please feel free to contact me with any questions about the item.
