Description: This is a very scarce early Irish imprint. 2 vols, bound together with all 8 cantos. Fore edge and bottom untrimmed, while the upper edge is Gilt. The boards are 3/4 leather with marbled boards. The book is a 12mo 6:3/4 by 4 inches. The first Part is 69 pages. It is a 2nd edition, Dublin 1805. While the second Part is a 3rd edition Dublin: 1806. John Barlow, Bolton Street. Entered at Stationer's-Hall. on the 10 photo on the upper tip of the page the stamped of Robert Smith the NY City late 19th Century book binder. there is some foxing on the lower untrimmed edge of a few pages. There are a number of pencil names of the title page of the first book. I hope this work finds it's way back to Ireland.
