Her short story Blue won Highly Commended at the 2024 Bridport Prize. Review "Linnhe Harrisons inventive Outpost 9 defies genre: it is, all at once, a thriller, steampunk fantasy, and dystopian comedy of manners which recalls Jules Verne, George Orwell, and Joseph Heller. Harrisons unlikely heroes grow on us, because they are down-to-earth and because their predicament pits them against villainy we recognise in our own time: we both wish them to succeed and hope to meet them again." - Ray Kosarin (Animator and Director - Family Guy, Fox TV)Powered by sound research and a distinctive authorial voice, Outpost 9 has a compelling plotline, engaging characters and a vivid sense of place." - Mary Ingham (freelance journalist)"Linnhe Harrison brings this strangely familiar but mad mad world, and time, terrifyingly alive with totally relatable characters, some laugh-out-loud one liners, and extreme gaslighting. This book could be the love child of Margaret Atwood, Philip Pullman and a little bit of Joe Lycett thrown in. Cant wait for the sequel." - Reader review "This is a love story, but not one you have read before. Gorgeous." - Reader review Details ISBN1068652403 Author Linnhe Harrison Publisher Linnhe Harrison Year 2024 ISBN-10 1068652403 ISBN-13 9781068652400 Format Paperback Publication Date 2024-07-24 Imprint Linnhe Harrison Subtitle Outpost 9 Country of Publication United Kingdom Audience General UK Release Date 2024-07-24 Pages 248 We've got this At The Nile, if you're looking for it, we've got it.
