Description: About this item: The Famous Charisma Box – The History Of Charisma Records 1968-1985 Deluxe 4CD Box Set (1993) Virgin Records UK – CASBOX1/724383908424 Charisma Records – The world famous recording label was founded in 1968 by the late Tony Stratton Smith (1933-1987) – “Mr Charisma”, and was one of the most eclectic, innovative and non-conformist recording labels in the UK music industry's history. The label boasted an incredible array of artists including Lindisfarne, Brand X, Genesis, Barry Humphries/Dame Edna Everidge, Rick Wakeman, Peter Gabriel, Monty Python, Peter Hammill, Bo Hansson, Hawkwind and Steve Hackett to name but a few. Housed in a beautiful deluxe box with removable lid measuring 34cm x 29cm approx. with a 48 page colour booklet of similar size, this 4CD collection captures an extraordinary selection of recordings released by the label between 1968 and 1985. The booklet also features a discography, and various artists have contributed their own opinions and experiences with Mr Charisma and the label. The Box is in Excellent Condition, light wear to the box lid, a small scratch and mark top centre of lid, but otherwise box in fantastic condition. The booklet and CDs are like new.
