The clock is in very original condition including the lever platform escapement and stop work on the mainspring to prevent overwinding. Various parts are marked with the serial number 17811, dating it circa 1880, whilst the backplate of the movement is stamped with the Henri Jacot mark which is also to be found between the movements plates and on the back of the dial plate.
