Description: In purchasing this fun plaque that has a metal etching of the St George temple and an explanation below it about the Temple trail I wondered why it didn't say the honeymoon trail because that is exactly what it is describing. There is an old famous road that many pioneers would use to get them to the St George temple to be sealed in matrimony. Because this trail or road leads to the temple that's how it got its name honeymoon trail. I love it because it's a piece of LDS history. And I find in our age I'm going to be 70 this year, that a lot of the generations below us are not interested so much in church history. I however, find it fascinating. My grandmother would take me to conference from Southern California, to Salt Lake City Utah when President David McKay was the president of the church. I really enjoy the Salt Lake area the old Tabernacle and meeting house and The visitor center that was there when I was younger. Anyway I'm happy to put it on my wall but if it means something special to anyone I'm happy to provide you with it. I'm trying to research this I've come to the conclusion that Star Awards Engraving must have made this as a request from a customer. Again I love it. The frame is 7"x9" , the temple Etched picture is 4"x5" and the description of the picture below is 5 1/2" by 3".
