Description: Pair of solid brass conch shell-motif bookends, vintage These beautiful vintage solid brass bookends feel heavy and substantial. Each has a large three-dimensional conch shell set vertically on a rectangular base. Perfect for bringing some underwater serenity to the bookshelves at a beach house, or for creating a beachy feeling even when you're far away from the ocean. Made circa 1970s. In very good vintage condition, with some patina, as would be expected for a set of this vintage, plus one or two tiny dings, and a bit of wear on the edge of one of the shells. The undersides of both bases are covered in navy blue felt, which is a bit worn in a few spots. Dimensions: 5-1/8" high x 6-1/2" wide; bases are 4" x 4-1/4"
