Description: This is a rare find for collectors of music memorabilia - an original empty Slingerland Hickory Drumsticks Buddy Rich B.R.6 pair case/box with one used Buddy Rich B.R. Model Stick with red lettering, box came from Franks Drum Shop in Chicago, IL. The empty box comes with one used Buddy Rich B.R. Model stick and someone from Franks Drum Shop wrote on the outside of the box that Stu Gordon will be in next week: Stu "Stuart" Gordon played drums in the US Navy band and entertained the troops stationed in New Orleans during World War two with his Jazz drumming skills after the war he came back to Chicago and continued his lifelong passion of jazz drumming by being a member of various local quartets such as the Pat Conway Band. He retired from drumming at the age of seventy Franks Drum Shop was one of the four original drum stores in America and was a Midwest hot spot for drummers like Louie Bellson, Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa and many more as they passed through Chicago. From 1938 to the mid 1980's, It had a world class repair shop, amazing sales floor, and a lesson program that had teachers that were absolute legends like Roy C.
