Description: This is a very hard set to find in its original state. Original hardcover volumes. 2 volume set. Free shipping to any of the 50 U.S. states. THE LIFE AND TIMES OF SIR WILLIAM JOHNSON, BART. by William L. Stone. Published in Albany New York 1865. Sir William Johnson (1715 - 1774) was a prominent Indian agent/interpreter/diplomat/merchant/fur trader among the Mohawk and Iroquois. Volume 1 has 555 pages. Volume 2 has 544 pages. Has fold-out map of "First Engagement" and "Second Engagement" alongside Lake George. Good condition overall. No interior markings or significant staining. No torn or bent pages. Does have some degree of foxing or browning, not high degree in my opinion.. Not ex-library. Binding holding well with front cover of volume I loosening. No dust jacket, as issued. All in all, text is clear and book can be read and handled without fear of degradation. Front and rear covers all original. Appears that outer spine coverings are gone, with remainders "blackened", probably for sake of appearance. See photos please. Returns accepted with full refund if you are not satisfied. (You would need to pay return shipping.) Sorry, no sales to Canada or anywhere other than 50 U.S. states. Book will be well packaged and shipped at my cost.
