The clock was my wife's mothers, but, unfortunately, we don't have much information on it. I looked on eBay and found several similar antique carriage clocks that looked very much like this one. I also compared the movements and mine appears to have the similar internals. Therefore I'm guessing that this might be a Sir John Bennett clock, even though I cannot find any markings to substantiate that. The clock is marked "Made In France" and it is definitely an antique and nicely crafted timepiece. It is presently in non-running condition. This is probably not significant, but the only other markings I see is the number "21" stamped on the inside of the rear door (see photo). The body of the clock is made of cast bronze. The glass on the four sides and top is beveled; the face is porcelain although it might even be ivory. It looks to have been a fairly expensive clock in its day. Shipping cost is $10.75
