Description: An outstanding and rare set of antique Cauldon gold encrusted porcelain plates in two different sizes. Each set was made in England and retailed in New York. Included in the lot: -Set of 8 dinner plates, measuring 10” in diameter each. Retailed by Higgins & Seiter, New York. -Set of 10 dessert plates, measuring 8 5/8” in diameter each. Retailed by Davis Collamore & Co, New York. The pattern of each set is identical, but the dessert plates have additional raised gold enameling within the pattern. The gold pattern on the larger plates is flat. Plates are in excellent condition for their age with some light scattered utensil marks visible on some plates. Overall fantastic.
