Fairly reasonable priced when new, considering the current costs of Selmer Paris instruments. They currently sell new for around $8000 with an MSRP of nearly $11000. This one was originally purchased in 1996 and played very sparingly. It is nearly flawless, with the exception of the indenture on the bow brace. Its mostly the brace thats pushed in, very little of the actual bow is pushed in, but if you peep inside the bell you can see a very slight indentation internally. It is certainly repairable but we did not want to attempt the repair as to not affect the lacquer on the instrument. We have a tech that can repair it if you would like to get an estimate, but the sax plays very well (and in tune) despite the issue. See pics for other details. Pads are in great shape. Instrument has a very tight/firm action, low key heights, and just has a very comfortable feel. Tone is very nice great player overall. Comes with the original case which looks like it is in good condition, but has a few structural issues internally. The sax is secure when inside, comes with the original zipper cover which helps keep things right inside the case. Would recommend getting a contoured gig case if you will be playing this out regularly or travelling back and forth to school.
