Description: A beautiful, museum-quality example of Southwest Native American pottery, this decorative bowl or jar comes from the well-known Santo Domingo Pueblo (Kewa people) of New Mexico. Santo Domingo artisans are known for their simple, yet elegant designs which have remained largely unchanged for hundreds of years, going back before the time of the Spanish conquest. This wonderful example stands about 9 inches tall and is about 9 3/4 inches in diameter. The jar stands slightly askew, and there is a small chip on the outer rim (see photo). It displays a wonderful, worn patina, with subtle, muted colors. This item will be carefully packed and shipped. Please contact me in advance with any questions.
