Hardbound in textured green cloth with gilt printing on the front cover and spine, top edge with green marbling, 7.5” x 5.25”, 1361 pages (volume 1 is 543 pages, volume 2 is 818 pages), sewn in bookmark. VERY GOOD Condition: gilt titling has faded but remains legible, light vertical crease to spine of volume two but text block holding well, former owner’s penned name on ffep of both volumes, light foxing to the endpapers, inner pages are tight, bright, clean and unmarked. A very good example of this vintage opera score. Götterdämmerung is Richard Wagner’s (1813-1883) last opera in his epic Ring Cycle. Considered among the most stirring and powerful music ever composed, it loosely follows the Nordic legend of Ragnarök (Twilight of the Gods).
