THIS IS A PLAN SET This manual shows how to fabricate a sleeve puller for an AD3-152, ADG3-152 & AD4-203 Perkins engines. It is made from scrap materials and works quite well. I built this puller when I overhauled my Massey Ferguson backhoe. Worked great and now that the job is completed, it's time to pass along this information to the next person who has interest in overhauling a Perkins engine. I have heard a lot of stories about how people have ruined good engine blocks trying to chisel or hammer the sleeves out of the cylinder block. I have even heard of people trying to place a bead of weld in the sleeve only to burn through the sleeve and weld it to the block. It took me about 20 minutes total to get all the sleeves out with this sleeve puller and I can't imagine the frustration of trying to get the sleeves out without one. This puller will even work without having to remove the crankshaft in the event that you are just reworking the upper end. Blueprints are provided as well as reference photos.
