Description: Here we have a genuine antique postcard depicting firefighters using ladders, wagons, and fire hoses to fight the 1901 fire at the Royal Warehouse in Antwerp, Belgium. Posted, with sender's interesting notes about the fire on front and back. We have lots of fabulous postcards in our store, to which we add new inventory daily, and we're always happy to combine shipping at actual cost. Typically, we can add postcards to your order at the shipping rate of between free and .25¢ each. If the eBay checkout fails to properly combine your orders and/or, as it is very apt to do, overcharges you for combined shipping, we will fix it all manually and issue a refund for the difference between what you paid for shipping, and the actual cost of the shipping, on the day that we ship your package. (We don't even know what the actual cost of combined shipping is until we actually purchase the shipping label.) Condition: Our photographs reveal the condition best and are the most important part of the description--please zoom in on them and examine them carefully. Very clean and fresh, despite showing considerable wear. Postmark shows through to front (upper left quadrant.) Old softened vertical crease with no tearing just right of center -- visible upon close inspection on the front, but easily seen on the back. Card is flat and strong, with no bending or folding at the old crease. Tanning, and considerable issues to corners, all visible in the photos. No funky odors. Rest assured that we will do all we can to ensure that your piece of ephemera arrives exactly as presented in our photos. We invest time and appropriate materials into shipping all of our ephemera. Most pieces are sent in envelopes that are sandwiched between cardboard before being sent as Priority or first-class parcels in non-bendable mailers, which ship at rates much higher than first-class letters. We never toss our ephemera into thin stationery envelopes with forever stamps stuck to them expecting the USPS to deliver them to you with great care. We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report. Corndogcache is a 100% non-smoking environment, and we'll let you know if any of our vintage items smell like it (or anything else) from activities they may have been involved in before they came to us. The Fine Print:We expect payment within 1 day of purchase. If you're waiting for other auctions to end so that you can combine shipping, shoot us a message to let us know.If you're unable to pay within terms, please reach out with your Plan B. Things happen. Especially these days. So just shoot us a message. We don't accept buyer-remorse returns but we will grant you the use of our description and photos so that you can re-ebay the item yourself.Although we don't accept buyer-remorse returns, reach out if you're unhappy with your purchase! If we messed up -- everybody does -- give us a chance to fix it. We promise it was unintentional, and we'll do what we can to make it right.
