Description: Just out of a local smoke free house is this Very Rare original Laflin and Rand Gun Powder Advertising clock. It is a cast metal novelty clock advertising surround made by Mullers and Sons and has a copyright of 1888. The clock shows a man leaning over a fence smoking a cigarette over a barrel or keg of Gun Powder below. In between there is an area marked Compliments of Lafkin & Rand Powder Company New York. The back of the casting is marked N. Mullers & Sons NY and Copyright 1888 No. 266. It measures about 8 1/2 inches high, about 6 9/16 inches wide, and about 2 3/4 inches deep. The is some wear or loss to the finish, a small crack on the right side near the clock, The clock does not run, and the brace for the easel back looks like it had an old repair.
