Description: The Asian Water Polo Championship is an international water polo tournament, organized by Asia Swimming Federation (AASF). It has been the Asian continental qualification for the Olympic water polo tournament since 2012. The 2012 Asian Water Polo Championship for men and women was held from 24 to 27 January 2012 at the Chiba International General Swimming Center near Tokyo, Japan. The winners of this championship (both men and women) qualified directly for the 2012 Olympic Games in London. This medal was issued to commemorate this “Road to the 2012 London Olympics” event and given to the athletes who participated. The two-sided medal is in excellent mint condition and shows no signs of wear. It measures 1-1/2" in diameter and is attached to a colorful ribbon necklace and presented in its original clear plastic case.
