Description: I have for sale a medal that commemorates Pepperell, Massachusetts bicentennial of becoming a Town. Pepperell, Massachusetts is located in Middlesex County, and it was named after Sir William Pepperell who was a Colonial soldier who led the siege of Louisbourg during the French & Indian war. The medal is bronze, it is 1 1/2 inch in diameter and in uncirculated condition and encase in a Lucite block that is 2 3/4 by 2 3/4 inches and one inch thick. One side shows the seal of Pepperell and at the rim it reads PEPPERELL, MASS - A DISTRICT-APRIL12, 1753 - TOWN AUG. 23, 1775. In the center it shows the bust of SIR WILLIAM PEPPERELL with his name. The reverse at the rim reads BICENTENNIAL - 1775-1975.
