Description: This is a wonderful, vintage illustration of a romance scene painted around 1960. Notice all the great facial expressions, stunningly painted clothing, (hands and hair) and overall colorful brilliance of the red and pinks (after 60 years) in this painting. It was painted in gouache on illustration board (12"x15") for a romance book or magazine. This is one of over 20 paintings I purchased from a collection of illustrations, several of which were signed by famous illustrators Walter Langhammer and Roger Hall. While this particular artwork is not signed it clearly is done by an extremely accomplished illustrator as demonstrated by the quality of this piece.
