Description: For sale is a vinyl record by Michael Martin Murphy titled "River Of Time", originally released in 1988 by Warner Bros. Records, then reissued by the Columbia House Record Club, for sale to their mail-order customers, as indicated by "Manufactured by Columbia House Under License" on the bottom of the back cover. According to the liner notes, this record was mastered at Georgetown Masters of Nashville, Tennessee by Denny Purcell. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks is etched with a large "G1", followed by the matrix numbers 1-A/1-A, indicating that the first stampers were used to make this first edition at Columbia Records' pressing plant located in Carrollton, Georgia. These are hallmarks of state-of-the-art engineering, sought after by collectors and music lovers for their superior sound qualities. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it into an archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is Near Mint. The cover is graded as Very Good Plus because of corner blunts, faint ring wear, shelf rubs and sticker residue on the upper right hand corner of the front cover, with some color flecks, from a failed sticker removal. The spine has color loss at the corners from blunts and along the edges from stress cracks. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint, with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like-new condition, without any sleeve marks, surface scratches, scuffs or smudges. This is still one of the best copies of this album that I have ever seen or heard and would make a great addition to anyone's collection.
